Logcast selected to take part in Playfair Capital’s Female Founder Office Hours 2020

We are excited to be selected by Playfair Capital to take part in the 2020 chapter of Female Founder Office Hours, joining a group of female-founded tech companies growing in the UK.

Presented by Tech Nation and Microsoft for Startups, the two-day event will host Europe’s leading all-female founding teams for a series of mentoring, workshops and 1;1 sessions with the UK’s leading VCs including BACKED and Founders Factory.

At Logcast, we are proud to be an all-female founding team with 66% of our board made up by women.

In a new report put together by Unconventional Ventures, all-female startup founding teams received just 1.3% of the available capital in 2019. The large majority, 93%, was picked up by all-male teams.

“As disappointing as these numbers are for us to read, I believe they represent a huge investment opportunity in the Nordic startup ecosystem. We are proud to be an all-female founding team at Logcast, and we hope these numbers will be the catalyst for more investors to take part in this untapped potential,” says Logcast co-founder & CEO Leni Andronicos.

However, according to the report, female-founded companies that did receive funding performed 45% better than male-founded companies when looking at revenue to funding ratio.

“For us, it’s not so much about numbers. It has always been about performance,” adds Johanna Hoof, co-founder & Chief Creative Officer. “Both Leni and I have grown our careers in different male-dominated industries, and we have always done what it takes to be the best in everything we do, no matter who we compete against.”
