Logcast, the social network for audio creators built out of Stockholm, have been announced as keynote speakers for NFT.NYC 2022 — the world’s largest conference for NFT creators and communities.

Leni Andronicos, co-founder & CEO, will introduce the company’s world-first spoken-audio NFT service, known as NFMs or “non-fungible memories”, at the conference, which takes place from June 20–23 in Times Square, New York.

“The next generation of audio is all about tilting the scales of power and ownership back to creators and their fans,” says Andronicos. “From day one, our mission has been to empower the next generation of creators, help them take back ownership of their content, and monetize their careers on their own terms. Launching our spoken-audio NFT service is the first step in fulfilling this promise.”

Creators on Logcast can soon record spoken audio clips (“Logs”) in the app, and sell them to fans as limited edition, 1-of-1 digital collectibles at a fixed price or auction, backed by royalties and other creator incentives.

“Revenue is all about ownership — follow the ownership architecture and you find the winner,” adds Johanna Hoof, Chief Product Officer. “With our framework, anyone can truly own their mind, trade their thoughts and earn a piece of an original idea — forever.”

Currently under development with selected creators, the service is powered by Layer-2 scaling solution Polygon, enabling Logcast to mint NFTs in a more eco-friendly way, lowering the product’s carbon footprint and helping bring down gas costs to next to nothing.

NFT.NYC 2022 will take place in New York this June. Tickets are available here.
